Week 1
Stella had a relatively straightforward whelping, especially for a first time mother! She was carrying four male puppies, unfortunately the third puppy was a breech presentation, and died just before he was born. We tried everything we could to get him going, but sadly it wasn't to be. We count our blessings though, with three very healthy little boys, and a happy healthy mum! Here are some pictures of their first week, all three are gaining weight steadily and are absolutely gorgeous! We are very jealous of the eventually owners of these three, we were desperate for a little girl from this mix!! What are the chances...4 boys!
Week 2
Two weeks down and Stella and pups are doing amazing. I love the second week, watching them turn from little squeaky sausages into little dogs! Eyes and ears have opened, and the very first wobbly steps have been taken...still rather front heavy though, it tends to be 1...2...faceplant! Enjoy the photos...
Week 3
Third week already! The boys are growing fast - and becoming increasingly demanding! They're now very active in-between sleep and meals, rather than eat...sleep...repeat! We have started weaning this week too...no food pictures yet but I'll get some on the go soon! They're currently on very finely minced Turkey mix, with the proper ratios of meat, offal and bone and they're doing really well on it. Still having a couple of big feeds a day from Stella, but she's a very good judge of when they need it and when they're just 'comfort eating'! Here are our week 3 pictures...enjoy!
Weeks 4 & 5
I am sorry to have to merge weeks 4 & 5 together, but we've had a very hectic couple of weeks, and when I had a small amount of time to take pictures, it was too gloomy!
Anyway...they are growing up quickly, getting better on their feet and eating more and more! This weekend we travelled the 5 hours with them to leave them with my aunt and family before going across to Holland with Mieke. They have been a few times round the block in the car, but this was the big long journey for them. We try and take them out on journeys and to stay at other houses a couple of times in their puppyhood, so that when they come to leave for their new homes, it's not such a traumatic experience - they've already been there and done it! They got introduced to the big English Setters too...they are fearless little boys though, not in the least bit intimidated!

Week 6
At Last the suns shines on us in the Dales! For a day at least...the boys have been getting some outside time, and they love it! We had already readied a secure area for them to be able to play and run around in, and they can't get enough of the fresh air. They are getting more individual as each day goes by, all very different but all little stars in their own right. They are eating well, onto different meats now and starting to look at Stella as more than a walking buffet...I think she's more than a little relieved! Hopefully you'll enjoy the pictures as much as I did taking them :)
Week 7
Pictures to follow...but here's a little video to keep you going! Apologies for the quality of my phone, but you get the idea!
Here are the following pictures...with homes decided, and names decided for the most part, the future for these boys looks bright. For now, here are some pretty peaceful pictures - they move around so much now that when they are asleep is becoming the only time I can get close up, in focus pictures without being bombarded! Enjoy :)
Weeks 8 & 9
Their last week with us...we'll really miss these little guys, they've been great fun and all three are super characters, all in their own ways! But...it's time for them to go and start their lives, and get the individual attention they all need and deserve! Three great families...take care of our little boys!
New Homes!
Here they are with their new owners! Thanks for giving our boys such wonderful homes :) Looking forward to seeing them grow up!
